Where Mountains meet Lakes

Recently I’ve visited with my Kot Lake District. It is an amazing place. Mountains look into the lakes as in the mirror. The connection of water with the rocks in one place was very surprising for me. And the sky… was simply shocking. Old masters’ works basically become alive there.
I had my head filled with nature’s views a long time after we come back to the city, so no wonder it had to explode in some kind of picture.
And here goes my etching approach to the nature. This is my first fully soft ground, pencil and brush marks etching plate. I found it more difficult than I expected. The method was unpredictable and difficult to control.

But I really enjoyed it. So tata… first print from this plate…

ZebraStone

Recently we have been making crosswords… In polish language to make life more interesting and to enrich our poor vocabulary. Its not so easy, because sometimes we need three languages to find a correct answer. So one day sitting on a new crossword and struggling a bit I asked my Kot for help:

“What is the name of the stone with white stripes?”- I asked.

Kot without even thinking a second and with a strong confidence in his voice shouted me back: “Zebrastone!!!”

I was shocked for a second and after I just laughed. His answer was easy and brilliant in the same time.
